EMPLOYMENT SERVICES


At ReStart, we can provide professional employment counselling to help you achieve your career goals.

Through collaboration, you will work one-on-one with an Employment Consultant to create a customized service plan based on your needs, qualifications and interests. Your plan will include S.M.A.R.T goals with the on-going support, problem solving, and coaching needed to successfully gain employment.

Better Jobs Ontario

Better Jobs Ontario is an Ontario government program that helps you train for a new job. They provide financial support to help laid-off and low-income Ontarians participate in training for a new career. You can get new skills – those needed for jobs in demand now – and financial support when you qualify for Better Jobs Ontario.

Apply for costs including:
Tuition
Books
Manuals, workbooks or other instructional costs
Transportation
Basic living allowance
Child care

The Youth Job Connection is a program for youth between the ages of 15 and 29.

Receive 60 hours of paid classroom training to learn job search and employment readiness skills. Following the classroom training, you will receive a paid job placement with access to mentorship, job coaching and financial support for needs such as transportation, work clothing and tools.

Between 15 and 18 and having a hard time finding a job?

By joining Youth Job Connection Summer you get:

20 hours of paid training
A Summer job that lasts for up to 8 weeks
Mentorship, job coaching, and help returning to school

As part of the Canada-Ontario Job Grant, ReStart has funding to help employers build up training for their employees so that we can maintain Ontario's competitive advantage.

JOB FAIRS

Whether you’re looking to learn more about local job opportunities, or you want ReStart to help you hire, job fairs help connect our community!

For job seekers, we offer virtual and in-person job fairs where you can checkout employment options at your own pace. You can also get hands-on assistance with applying from our staff.

For employers, ReStart can help you grow your business by introducing you to eager candidates. We can host your job fair at our facilities at no cost to you, and help to promote the event. We can also assist with interviews and applications, to save you time finding the right person for your team!
